Taxes

You will be working with Dapper Maids as an Independent Contractor. That means we don't withhold any taxes from your pay.

If you don’t meet the earnings threshold for a particular year, you won't receive 1099 from Homeaglow that year. The fact that your payments on Homeaglow do not reach the reporting threshold in a tax year does not relieve you of your obligation to report and pay taxes for income received through the Homeaglow platform. We encourage you to consult with a tax advisor to better understand your requirements. For more info, visit irs.gov.

What are the different types of 1099 forms?

  • 1099-MISC

    • Your 1099-MISC is an official IRS tax used for annual earnings over $600 for 2020 and earlier

  • 1099-K

    • Your 1099-K is an official IRS tax document that includes a breakdown of gross cleaning payments processed on your behalf for 2021 and later.

  • 1099- NEC

    • Your 1099-NEC is an official IRS tax document providing a summary of promotion and other miscellaneous payments for 2021 and later.

When and how will I receive my 1099 form?

  • At the end of the year, we will send your tax documents to your physical address on file, summarizing your earnings, and you'll be responsible for any applicable taxes. To request a PDF copy of your 1099 form, click on the "Contact Support" button below this article.
